1. Description of Service & AI Output Notice
Welcome to Wee Stories. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding End User License Agreement (EULA) between you ("User", "Parent", "Guardian", or "You") and Wee Stories ("we", "us", or "our") regarding your download, access, and use of the Wee Stories mobile application ("App").
Wee Stories is a voice-first interactive storytelling platform designed for children aged 3 to 7. The App allows children to visit living story worlds, interact through voice conversation, make story decisions, and build persistent world canon over time.
Generative AI Notice: Story narratives, illustrations, and audio narrations are generated using artificial intelligence technologies. While Wee Stories incorporates strict multi-layered safety guardrails, AI outputs may occasionally contain creative variations. The App is provided for creative entertainment purposes only.
2. Parent Responsibility & Supervision
- Wee Stories is intended for use by young children under the direct supervision, guidance, and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Account creation, subscription purchases, account linking (SSO), and sensitive settings are protected by a Parent Gate (math verification challenge).
- Parents agree to supervise child interactions, review account activity, and maintain sole responsibility for their child's use of the App.
3. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership
A. Developer Content
All default story worlds, characters, artwork, audio recordings, prompt definitions, animations, trademarks, and software code are the exclusive intellectual property of Wee Stories and its licensors.
B. Child-Created World Canon
Names, choices, traditions, and memories created together by the child and the living universe ("Living Canon") belong to the user's persistent world profile. Wee Stories grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to enjoy and replay these story artifacts for personal, non-commercial use.
4. Acceptable Use & Safety Guardrails
Wee Stories incorporates safety guardrails to ensure stories remain calm, optimistic, and age-appropriate:
- Users agree not to attempt to bypass, trick, manipulate, or "jailbreak" prompt safety constraints or introduce harmful, inappropriate, or malicious prompts.
- Any automated misuse, scraping, reverse engineering, decompiling, or extraction of App assets or backend services is strictly prohibited.
5. Subscriptions & Billing Terms
- Free Allocation: Includes an initial free story allocation upon installation.
- Auto-Renewable Subscriptions: Monthly plans (Starter, Explorer, Unlimited) unlock additional story quotas.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period. See our Pricing Policy for full details.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP AND ALL GENERATED CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WEE STORIES, ITS DEVELOPERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO WEE STORIES FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($100.00 USD).
